Where in the World are All of Those Babies?

It's hard to imagine, but MTV has had 46 girls appear on 16 and Pregnant since it premiered in 2009!
A total of 12 girls from these 46 have or will appear on the Teen Mom shows.

I made the map below which lists the name and hometown for each girl that appeared on the show.
Hover over the picture with your mouse and you'll where each girl is from.

Black = appeared on 16 and Pregnant only
Red = appeared on Teen Mom 1
Green = appeared on Teen Mom 2
Blue = will appear on the upcoming Teen Mom 3

So which states were most often featured on the show?
Texas - 8 girls
Florida and Pennsylvania - 4 girls each
Alabama - 3 girls
Georgia, Missouri, Michigan, Colorado, Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina - 2 girls each
Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Indiana, West Virginia - 1 girl each

Hi Emma,
I tried to do that at first. Unfortunately because some of the moms live close to each other, it was really difficult to fit everyone onto the map and it was impossible to read.

That's why I made it interactive. Just hover your mouse over the dot and a box will pop up telling you who it is! :)

The HoverDots arent showing correct placement. They're showing about two inches below where they should be. Here's hoping it's just a website issue. Great idea and research tho. Hugs.

Hi Chris,

That's strange! It looks fine to me right now. Perhaps the site is being a little glitchy, or maybe the browser you are using distorts it in some way? I'm using firefox and chrome right now.
